Darr, I'm rooting for you. I, too, am way over on the heavier side of the scale - between quitting smoking 10 years ago, my female problems, and a bad case of osteo-arthritis, I've gained over 100 pounds in about seven years after having been on the thin side my entire young adult life. I'm trying to lose it the natural way, but it's hard work. My doctor believes a lot of my medical problems and depression and thus eating, are tied to my hormones and female problems. As you know, I had the hysterectomy last week. Now, granted, I don't feel good right now - I'm having to do this pain meds free because I had a very serious reaction over the weekend. But I think he may be right - I've lost 10 pounds in the past 2 weeks, and my eating patterns have changed. I don't find myself craving the bad stuff like pizza and chicken fried steak and fast food. Yesterday, I had yogurt for breakfast, a small salad for lunch, and dinner last night was 1 sandwich, an apple, and about 10 potato chips, and I was fine, not hungry. So, we'll see. But I wanted you to know I'm keeping good thoughts close and saying a prayer or two for you...
